#Witch it cracked launcher Pc
I might be misunderstanding this as I'm not a pc player, but from what I've read I have to wonder, why in the hell would someone need to have internet connection to play the single player offline portion of this game? Especially if you have a disc copy. So now the only folder is the vanilla Grand Theft Auto V that the launcher expects. I immediately closed the launcher from the task bar and removed all non vanilla GTA game folders from the D:\Rockstar Games folder.

It seems the launcher DRM apparently detected the modded folders of my single player GTA V, GTA IV, SA & GTA III (and their associated backup mod content folders). So when I attempted to start the launcher for the first time, got a warning about a potential ban. I've always kept a separate, vanilla game folder in this directory with all my other GTA and Rockstar games. But the catch is if you have mods in other folders in your Rockstar Games directory where the vanilla game is installed. So the launcher starts the game from C drive but access the game folder from the D drive. Found out it was stuffed into the C:\Program Files directory on return and didn't feel like reinstalling. Didn't pay attention to what drive it was being installed on and went AFK.

HOWEVER, R* ingeniously set the new launcher to install in the C drive Program Files directory by default. Put all my non Steam, Rockstar games in a separate D:\Rockstar Games folder location. So I ended up installing all my games and Steam games on my D drive. I also wanted the convenience of having all my games in one place. The nosebleed Windows gives you for installing Steam to the default C:\Program Files directory simply isn't worth it. I bought the DVD Retail version of GTAO and later d/l the digital version from R* site. It seems whatever DRM they included with the new launcher can detect modded files on your HD. However, be careful if you have separate modded versions (for single player v. The launcher still gives you the option to scan the drive for R* games even after you install. No it doesn't appear to be mandatory for any predecessor GTA titles or non GTA ones like Bully. Not about to install a 1GB launcher to play literally one game from you.Ĭan anyone confirm if the launcher is mandatory for any other GTA titles, or any R* games at all? One sh*tty launcher running at a time is enough, and Steam got there first. I'm not buying any game tied to a stupidly bloated launcher at this point. If there's no opt out added soon, then I guess I'll quit GTAO.Īnd forget about RDR2, R*. Visit our TheDroidGuy Youtube Channel for more troubleshooting videos.I'm not downloading a launcher that takes up an entire 1GB of my space just for useless sh*t I didn't want or ask for.
This is the second tab on top of the launcher You can do this by clicking on it from the Start menu list of applications.
